Competition Rules & Regulations

  1. The entry is ONLY OPEN to all students from the following Faculties/College of UiTM Shah Alam, Puncak Alam & Puncak Perdana Campus.

  1. Teams are to submit in a form of poster presentation (jpeg) and a video presentation (YouTube link).

  2. All registrations must be completed ONLINE via the Google Form link provided.

  3. Only duly completed registrations will be processed and officially recognized as participants of the competition.

  4. The competition will be carried out VIRTUALLY using an online platform (link will be emailed to participants).

  5. Duration of the virtual presentation is STRICTLY LIMITED TO FIVE (10) MINUTES ONLY.

  6. The organizers have the right to reject any entries if deemed unsuitable for the competition.

  7. As a participant, please make sure that you do the followings:

Complete the registration process by filling out an Online Entry Form via the Google Form link. Please go to Register QR link on the poster to complete your registration.

Upload your A3 poster (pdf format) presentation according to the submission guidelines.

Upload your video presentation through your own YouTube account and be sure to set it to Public in your settings.

Please note that the video preparation should be developed based on different objectives and aspirations and aimed at describing your products, and in doing so, emphasizing the benefits and contributions of your products. On the other hand, virtual presentation should gear towards making your product/idea appeals to a targeted audience.

Participants are encouraged to structure their presentation according to the following format:

  • Title of Innovation Product/ Project
  • Leader, Project Member(s) & Institution
  • Brief Introduction/Background
  • Problem Statement(s)
  • Innovation Objective
  • Authenticity/ Novelty
  • Benefits to intended users and society
  • Commercialization potentials
  • Awards/recognition received (if applicable)

Innovation Poster Format

  1. Each poster must follow the following specifications:
  2. Each participation MUST submit ONE (1) poster.
  3. The poster must be of A3 size and in the PDF format.
  4. The Innovation Poster must include the following mandatory sections:
  • Title of Innovation Product/ Project
  • Group Members/Organisation Name
  • Innovation Objective
  • Problem Statement
  • Implementation Level
  • Innovation Product/ Project Impact
  • Uses and Applications
  • Authenticity/ Novelty
  • Commercial Potential/ Commercialisation/ Publishing Status
  1. The background design of the poster is based on the creativity of participants.

Innovation Video Format

  1. Each innovation video presentation must follow the following specifications:
  2. Each entry MUST submit ONE (1) video related to the innovation product / project.
  3. The videos should be between (10) minutes in length.
  4. The innovation videos can be produced in English or Malay (with English subtitles).
  5. The innovation videos must be uploaded in YouTube channel and only the YouTube link will be submitted in the Innovation Video Submission Form.
  6. The Innovation videos must include the following mandatory sections:
  • Short montage must begin with CiiDeC2022 teaser which will be provided by the secretariat upon registration.
  • A recording session of group members’ presentation on innovative product / project.
  • The content of the presentation is relevant to the content of the innovation poster.
  • The demonstration session that presents product / project innovation features and methods of applying product / project innovation.
  • Explain the functions and benefits of the innovation product effectively.
  • Explain the level of implementation and marketability of the innovation product.
  1. The performance of the video is based on the creativity of participants.
